Starting our work in 2015, we support farming enterprises and businesses along potato and tomato based value chains in four selected districts of the Indian states Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. We advise on suitable innovations (e.g. improvement of seed quality, technologies and machinery, ICT), trainings in Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and support the formation of farmer organizations as companies.
The project film offers insights to our work and the daily life of our partners – the agripreneurs. The project success is based on trust and our shared commitment.

With its special initiative “ONE WORLD - No Hunger”, Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) aims at addressing poverty and hunger. As part of this initiative the Green Innovation Centre India is establishing innovations in the agri-food sector, increasing the income of farmers, employment and improving the regional food supply.

The project involves partners from all sectors (private companies, civil society, research institutions) and is implemented in cooperation with the Indian Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

Very nice initiative team GIZ, is there any documentation on the support that you are providing for such innovations so as to see areas of collaboration. Know someone who is promoting the concept of local growth n consumption in Rajasthan for mushrooms, she shall be happy to learn more from you.
