I was there . I have seen Diana many times and I can honestly say that last night was the best ever.

Miss Ross was spectacular that evening from first note to last. The sold out audience was on its feet for nearly the entire show and totally enthralled. The person next to me asked during "Don't Explain" "does it get any better than this?". My response: No! This is what legend looks and sounds like.

MARVTASTIC. You don't have to scream and holler to get your point across.

At times it is necessary & wonderful, but Miss Ross got treated unfairly AGAIN with The Wiz.

She has sung both in a beautiful way that tells the story, and also powerfully when the spirit warrants her to do so.

The biggest flaw in people's thinking when Stephanie Mills didn't get the role is their lack of understanding that the Broadway star almost never gets the movie role over the top Hollywood star of the same era.

Most cultures celebrate even a bad film if it includes legends from past, present and future generations. The Wiz was NOT so bad a film that we could not be proud of Lena Horne passing the torch to Diana passing the torch to Michael Jackson.

Before The Wiz Berry Gordy was able to usher his best selling act into an arena that gave Motown a wider international, widely diverse & unified audience..

Even hardcore rappers today are benefitting from the seeds Ross planted decades ago.

I prefer "mother" comfortably seated in a chair singing a song intimately, sweetly, calmly, sincerely and in a way that drives the message home ANY DAY, over a performance consisting primarily of the act sticking out their tongue and grabbing their crotch.

Old-school talent, and class provides the audiences of every generation with something that benefits them more.
