What if you skip burning the Erdtree in Elden Ring?
Can you still finish the game? What happens to the Erdtree and Radagon? How does the game handle something physically impossible?

You don't need to burn the Erdtree but rather kill Maliketh. Normally you only get to Crumbling Farum Azula after burning the Erdtree but there was (maybe still is) a wrongwarp glitch that allowed you to get there without doing that. Any% speedruns take that route.

Using wrong warp you can skip to Farum Azula, however you still need to kill Maliketh which activates the final burnt Erdtree stage.

You can beat ER without killing fire giant, have a saved run with that still active, NG+2 finished with glowing tree

If you kill Maliketh and then light the forge both the red and smoldering erdtree are there at the same time, clipping into each other

Remember you need the rune of death to fight radagon

If you kill maliketh early and then lite the forge it causes both the regular erdtree and the burning one to be spawned in at the same time.

There’s a grace for the stone platform you fight Radagon on, you can teleport to it to fight him early

I had this same thing happen when trying to skip to the end of the game, I fixed it by quitting after hourax, running to the fog wall, running back to the grace, resting and running back and suddenly the fog gate was there again. Never burned the erdtree or fought any other boss.

Just do the wrong warp to crumbling and beat maliketh. No fire needed for that

I'm able to find out what happens if you become frenzied and instantly use the needle but I don't wanna make the melon mad

I wish there was an alternative to burning the tree, the ash is annoying and I don't like the round tables look on fire
