Crescent Nebula (NGC 6888, C27) also called the "Space Brain" and "Cosmic Bubble", which is located in the constellation Cyngus.

This image was shot with the ZWO Seestar S50 in stargazing mode with approximately 40 minutes? total integration time with the light pollution filter on and Bortle 6 skies. You can split hairs on whether to call it Electronically Assisted Astronomy (EAA) or astrophotography (AP). Stacking was done natively on the Seestar.

FITS file was processed by Sami P in Siril, to create the starless and star reduced versions. Thank you Sami P, for your help with post-processing!

This is a Deep Sky Object (DSO). DSOs include nebulae and galaxies.

Crescent Nebula Fast Facts
Also Known as: New General Catalogue 6888, Caldwell 27
Location: Cygnus
Distance: 5,000 Light Years away
