After finishing her Novels I hate how the Fandom writes her off as some barbaric Avatar that always answers with violence.

Despite Kyoshi’s tragic backstory, immense power and stature, she often chose to spare villains, and contemplated hard about taking the life of another. Kyoshi was extremely human and as compassionate as Aang underneath her Opera Armor.
