There are studies that show each refil has less dosage of cafein. Usually here in south of Brazil we share a gourd with more people, but I also drink alone. For me Its Common to drink 1 litre of Water in several refills.

Mate is great for hydration tbh. Since I started, every time I begin to drink mate in the morning, say 10:00, it lasts me all the way to the afternoon, say 15:00. Lots of water, complex taste, all nice 👍
