Ah yes, Josh and Ollie, our local scientists.

When I actually met Ollie, he was so quiet and gentle. And he was smart. But when the camera turned on, he suddenly changed. Like Ollie you guys are looking at. It's like looking at the Hulk.

No matter how much Josh pretends, he can't hide that he's as chaotic as Ollie.

honestly, Ollie not caring about his potato allergy is such a mood.

Honestly, Ollie's attitude to his potato allergy is the same as lactose intolerant people view dairy - and we absolutely love it (as long as Ollie's safe)

Josh: “How has no one done this before?”
Me: Because the world only has one Ollie

"Don't try this at home"
Josh & Ollie: Proceeds to try it at home.

Next experiment: how many times does a chip have to be fried before Ollie is no longer allergic to them

Let’s not forget that Ollie is literally allergic to potatoes

Voldemort: * splits soul into 7 pieces *
Josh & Ollie: * fry fries 7 times while potato soul escapes *
Makes sense

The Sqealing noise is caused by the heat from the basket rapidly warming the carbon dioxide in the dry ice changing it from solid to gas, which then pushes the ice away from chips, causing it to vibrate and make noise 😊

"i think it's the souls of the potatoes escaping"

4:33 it's called the Leidenfrost effect. It's a membrane of steam that surrounds an object inbetween extreme temperatures.
It's the same effect that causes cold drops of water to bead and bounce across a hot pan on the stove.

The dry ice helps it stop the cooking and shocks the temperature of the chip, thus maintaining the softness in the inside and the crispiness on the outside

Ollie and his bizarre ideas always leave Josh and us Jollybeans confused. but in the end we will definitely think "Why wouldn't i think of it?" sorry i'm still amazed with their carrotland celebration lol. Also Ollie and his obsession with potatoes despite his allergy

Ollie wrote a book, it can't be that hard to make this a legitimate study, and publish a paper.

You know it's gonna be bad when Ollie starts with "so I went online..." 😂

Imagining Ollie helping Juno on her science project in the future is truly chaotic since her teacher will also have to deal with Ollie's creative minds. 😂😂

When things heat up the particles vibrate. The heat of the metal causes the particles to vibrate so quickly they make that screaming sound as the dry ice sublimes. You don't even need something particularly hot. Just warm a coin between your fingers, and press the edge of the coin into the ice for the same effect.
