Today I'll show you how to replace the damaged home button on an iPhone 8 or SE. This will not keep Touch-ID functionality, but neither will a broken button. This restores single, multi and long press actions.

Great video! I need your advice. I recently changed my battery on an iPhone 8 plus and thought I was careful but after reassembly the home button doesnt depress or "click" anymore. When I examined the button it doesn't look like there is a way for it to mechanically depress. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance

I thought I was stuck with using finger gestures with my phone forever since it would costing me $450 to get it replaced. Thank you for your video. As for engineers, I have to deal with them on almost daily basis. Therefore I have the same sentiments. Thank you for saving me at least $400.

Is the button a solid state sensor that sense pressure like the original one or is it just a physical home button?
