I found a brand new NON-M-TRONIC Stihl MS-362 on the shelf. I thought they quit making NON-M-TRONIC saws with the 461!

Thank goodness they still make the reliable standard carburetor, I regret buying the mtronic! Love them when they work well but hot starts are the most frustrating thing!

Just an FYI. I just purchased a brand new Stihl 261 (20”) here in 2024 at my JohnDeere/Stihl dealer. My saw is a manual carburetor model, Non-Mtronic model, they had both models on the shelf, and both were the same price of $689.99. 😊 I love it! If you are buying a new saw, why add a xtra electronics that could potentially fail? Regardless if it’s 3 years, 5 years, or 20 years later. I recommend Non-Mtronic just for simplicity sake. This is a chainsaw after all. Also, non Mtronic weights a little less too. Non-Mtronic= Life time saw.

Whoever told you that lied big time it's been out for a couple years now they just weren't shipping them til last year it's weird cause when you pop the cover it all looks the same except the carb but I've heard good an bad about both main selling point is that the standard carb doesn't have to be taken in to work on it easier to fix in the field have you ever looked on the UK website it has all sorts of neat stuff not available in the states that's where I look for new stuff it always comes out there quicker less red tape
