About that situation, when Demoknight killed you despite being stunned by you:

I'm not exactly sure, but since melee hit is actually short distance projectile, he "shot" his sword, then you stunned him, but then his sword "landed" on you because it wasn't controlled by him being "midair".

7:10 hits in tf2 work under delay, he swung before being stunned. But then he got stunned. Hit delay registered and his charge hit still landed, but he was otherwise fully stunned. Also happens in Holiday Punch fights if neither side loses tracking.
