what tach do you use to tune your saws?

Question, the screw that bolts down my air filter is striped out on the intake boot I guess you call it and I can’t find no part numbers to replace the part. Does it hurt to use it as long as the filter is snug to the boot or is a good idea to fix it? Thanks in advance
