This setting drove me crazy at first. Then I got used to it and realized how useful it actually is!

Saving the file also works, even if you didn't do any modifications. Control+S easier to remember also.

Yeah double click does the job best for me. For people not used to it, might give it some jumps here and there, it sure did to me. "Wait, my file was deleted because I clicked on another file?"

Glad to see everyone is on board with this idea

Without this feature, I would have gone mad a long ago!

You don't have to double click on the title that would be very cumbersome and bad UX, it is enough to double click on the file when opening it.

This is where I exactly stuck and frustrated I really need solution for this actually you made it now how to open multiple tabs simultaneously

Thanks. Now I understood why file tabs keep overriding...
The solution I was doing is drag and drop the second file into main section

Just don't make this feature the default behavior. It is so frustrating and most people don't want the file to close just because you didn't edit it or its name shows italic. Thats nonsense right there

I just do Ctrl + S immediately after opening the file. Strange how Ctrk + K + Enter was mentioned as an option and not Ctrl + S.

you can also just ctrl + s (save), since you're not editing it, saving won't do anything and it just keeps it open

Please add LLM features like Cursor & VOID editors 🎉

How to "unlink" file explorer and opened file? It is annoying when you jump between opened files and it automatically shows them in file explorer.

This system is awesome because you only need to click once more to keep the previewed file open

You can open the tab beside your opened tab if you want to compare them using ctrl+/

I used Ctrl + s to keep it open by re-saving the file💁🏾 idk but it works

It's helpful when I'm reading some other project. But it's annoying and distracting when I work in my project. This option should be optional not default.

Instead of tabs being horizontal scrollable can we change settings to see them in drop-down or list like in visual studio?

I created an easier shortcut for me, alt+`, which is similar to ctrl+` for minimizing the terminal, and I use both daily.
