How to Disable Preview Pane in File Explorer of Windows 11

Here today in this video tutorial, I will show you guys how to disable the preview pane in the file explorer of Windows 11 PC or Laptops.

This doesn't work anymore since the option is moved. Now you can either select Preview or Details pane. Select Preview Pane, then on top right, click on "Preview" to hide the pane.

all you have to do is just press the preview button in modern Windows 11.

Intersting. My Preview pane & Details pane are not under "show" like the Navigation pane is. One or the other appear to be constantly enabled and I can only open & close them by clicking on the Preview or Details tab that appears on the far right of the toolbar. I find this annoying, becuase depending on what "view" you are in, e.g. Details, List, Icons... there is a large blank space on the far right of the window where the pane wouldn't normally show. I called Microsoft about this but apparently it is a bug that will, at least for me, remain unresolved. Strange. And like so many other things with Windows, totally illogical.
