remake ashley is top tier. The random dialogue between her and leon is so good it feels like she actually has a purpose other than just following you until you beat the game

They did it in the origonal as well, but Ashley's character is that of a very young woman who's never been in a life or death situation. She's probably been sheltered in a lot of different ways growing up, so she actually is handling her situation quite well considering how she could be freaking out a lot more. I love the connection she makes with Leon and how Leon continues to check up on her, ensuring she's okay and even giving her encouragement. He really becomes her rock in the story, bringing a calmness and even light hearted feeling into an otherwise very intense and grim situation. Ashley in turn takes the initiative to be there for him in case he needs her, and cares about his well being. Their relationship as a team in this remake is amazing and I'm there for it. and for the people who still find her annoying, either in the past or present, ya must not be doin' your job right if she's constantly screaming for help. I know it ain't easy for sure, but "she just a baby"

I mentioned in another video how much better the new Ashley is, and someone said "you're just being a simp because she's hotter, they're exactly the same"... I don't see the old Ashley dropping regenerators into pits, protecting Leon by throwing blue flames, headshotting two cultists while resisting Saddler's influence, helping save Leon from a burning building and a building full of attacking enemies. Plus new Ashley actively avoids enemies and doesn't take all your damn healing items.
