First look: the Ford Capri is back, and now it's an electric SUV

The Ford Capri is back, and this time is an electric SUV. It's one of the most famous Ford names, but how will purists feel about it now being used for a coupe SUV?

There are other Old Ford names they could have used, but I like all the capri nods. The rear window and seat material bring back strong memories.

The name is wrong. If Ford had to reuse an old name, they should have gone with Sierra or Mondeo. Capri is a 2dr coupe.

I dig it. It's a pretty bold style for Ford, I kinda feel their design language lately is a bit samey, but I really like this. It has echos of other Fords and is distinctly a Ford while actually looking new.

Not gonna lie, I'm not mad about it. Namesake aside, its a lovely looking car. Im sure all the nuisance electronic "aids" will be the real problem though

Ford doing its utmost to sell SUVs.. Bland and just an explorer wearing different clothes. Bet if you took the doors off of it they would fit straight onto an explorer without any adjustments.

I must say I do not like it. The fact that it is electric does not help, as there are many drawbacks with it, such as limited range, inadequate charging infrastructure for EVs etc. This car may suit some people, but it does not warrant the name "Capri".
