I met a man that moved to Alaska to die. Doctors told him he had 8 months to live due to 2 types of cancer. (Bone being one & I can not remember the other) He moved to the famous Kenai River to live his dream. He ate only organice fruits, veggies & salmon from the river. 15 months later he decided he needed a job. 2 years in he was cancer free. Just one nice story.

2001, got tired of being fat. Went on an Atkins diet lost15 pounds and had a quintuple bypass. 2016, tired of weight gain. Went on a keto diet lost5 pounds and was told I was showing signs of blocked arteries. 2017 1/2 tired of being fat went on the McDougall diet lost40 pounds was told by doctor, " Don't change anything."

I went on a Keto diet when my Doctor told me I was pre diabetic and had high blood sugar and blood pressure. It was a struggle and I craved sugar 3 days in like a drug addict. 2 months on and my blood sugar is in normal range, I have lost about 10 lbs of fat, I feel a lot better and my blood pressure is in normal range. I now avoid sugars and processed foods where I can and it has worked for me big time!

Your video on bone broth made me vegan! I had bought a slow cooker to make bone broth, I did some research in Youtube to find some recipes and boom! Your video was on the list. After that video I found out your channel and other vegan channels. You made a difference in my life, thanks!

I watch a LOT of these food documentaries. The funny thing is, and I think it's something we can all agree on, is that the vast majority of them share the same messages:

Processed foods are bad. Dairy is bad.

I am a type 2 diabetic who has tried many diets to try to get my blood sugars under control. I ate a vegan diet for 6 months, I lost 17 pounds, but my blood sugars were all over the place. I was really into it and very strict. Eating whole foods and limiting sugar... but I wasn't getting better. My A1C was worse than before. It went from a 7.2 to 8.4 when tested after the 6 months. My cholesterol also went from 187 to 221 in the same time frame. I loved being on a vegan diet and felt that it should be the best for my health, for the animals, and for the environment... and I was SO discouraged that my health wasn't getting better.

I have now been eating a keto diet for 4 weeks. I have lost 36 pounds. My doctor, who was concerned about this way of eating, as was I, wanted to closely monitor me for the first few months. I haven't had my A1C rechecked yet, nor my cholesterol, but I have been taken off of all insulin (was on 45 units a day of Toujeo) and down from 1500mg of Metformin to 500mg daily. I don't know why it's working, but so far it seems to be going well. The only down fall is that I don't like eating this way. I prefer the vegan diet, but it didn't work for me.

A well planned and researched vegan diet did not work for me.. Keto has healed things I didn't even know I needed help with. One of the first things I noticed after switching my diet was for the first time in years, I stopped thinking about food continuously. When I was vegan, as soon as I was done eating, I was planning my next beautiful meal. And after that...my next beautiful meal...it gets exhausting. I cried when I realized I went a few hours with out thinking about food. It freed me!

I had a miscarriage in June. I decided it was my weight. So I tried a couple weeks of keto and went to the doctor. My blood pressure was high and my heart randomly hurt. I have now been plant based vegan for two months and have lost weight and my blood pressure is in the normal range. Now after doing tons of research there is no way I would go back.

Do keto and paleo not have alot of similarities!? Why does there always have to be these "sides" and animosity towards the other, to the point of debunking? Can't we just be happy that people are seiously questioning the dietary guidelines that we're given and are promoting more whole foods?! It's the standard dietary guidelines we should be fighting against, not each other! Otherwise all we do is create cults and scare people off from making healthier choices with all the confusion.

I do vegan keto. No matter what anyone says, it cures my depression and anxiety, helps me eat less, and cures my ibs and insomnia. I feel horrible eating hclf whole food diet.

Been on keto for the last 9 months. Down 65 lbs, my mental acuity seems way sharper, my constipation is a dim memory, and my joints including my back don't hurt anymore. Eat what you want but keto works for me.

I would be very happy if you can debunk this rebuttal as well. Seems like the Okinawa diet argument is factually wrong and in fact they eat a lot of pork and saturated fat.

I've been on keto 8 months now and it completely changed my life down 70 pounds and blood pressure went down by 40 plus no more inflammation and pain in the joints I only eat low carb veggies and sometimes beans

If you eat excessive amounts of protein on a low/no carb diet your body will convert the excess protein into glucose which is why Dr. Shaun Baker that you mentioned has the issues he has. That didn’t really prove anything. You have to keep your macros in balance on keto. It’s super low carb, high fat, moderate protein.
