One must admit how neutral Netflix is by promoting this crap and What the health at the same time. You can not say that Netflix is biased for once.

Also, Lierre Keith was never a vegan; she keeps lying about this and I want someone to counter her on it in real time. Bloggers have tried, but she just keeps right on lying and lying. I really despise Lierre Keith for this.

I was trying to tell my viewers that this film was demonizing all carbohydrates even though the problem was that the people were eating highly processed foods. Apple juice, goldfish and spaghettios != brown rice and pasta. I even went on to highlight the fact these people in the film were eating a crap ton of green leafy veggies and stuff which is most likely what contributed to their improving health.

Last year, I was on keto, did it for about five months. I thought I felt great, mainly because I lost weight which of course is by itself a good thing, however I found that the only primary reason for my vast weight loss of around 45 pounds was due to eating about 1200 calories or LESS. There were some days in early in my keto phase that I got less than 1000 calories. Of course the weight was falling right off me and I thought I felt great. I say thought because keto absolutely drained me. Even when getting a recommended 1500 calories for weight loss I could never feel 100%, even when other factors such as sleep were put into account. I felt like shit for about 90% of the time I was on keto but spun it as my body in "carb withdrawl" and that that was actually a good thing. I don't regret losing 45 pounds but I was killing myself what with the fatty and cholesterol rich foods as well as the fact I didn't even get the minimum of 1200 calories for my day.

Finally I saw Vegan 2017 from Plant Based News (seriously check them out) and What the Health on Netflix, and since then about 5 months from then. I've been vegan. Not entirely whole food plant based but my lunch is now completely fruit and I feel fantastic! I have energy I never knew I could have. I still need to lose weight and mainly due to a plateau which sucks, I've still lost an additional 15 pounds since going plant based which is amazing. Plus I'm not killing sentient beings for my own sake AND I'm helping our starved environment. WIN WIN WIN.

Just last weekend my husband was in the hospital for his diabetes. They put him on insulin for the first time in his life... He's only 32. The nurse suggested that he go on a keto diet so I started researching right away and changed everything we ate by Sunday. Tuesday night he didn't need his insulin and hasn't needed it since. His Dr says he won't need it as long as he's on this diet.

I watched the magic pill, I had to turn it off after a while, was so shit.... Take anybody on the standard american diet and put them on ANY diet with out all the "junk" and it will show results. It's a lazy study.
Good Video. I knew it was going to be awful when I saw Pete Evens....

Thanks. Watched it. Found it very informing. Funny how all sides think they are the end all of nutrition, vegans included. None of you are right because your bias is toward your preference leaving you blind to objective viewing.

Another inaccurate vegan taking nonsense! This documentary didn’t belittle raw veggies in any way! I ate vegan for 6 months and never felt worse! The fact still remains that there is not one diet that is appropriate for everyone! This guy doesn’t have a clue!

Ryan: what is your opinion or knowledge regarding the difference between vegetable Omega 3 and the animal source one? I've read they say only the animal one provides what our body needs.

My husband is a don’t believe until you try it, kind of person. He attempted keto after being vegetarian and flirting with vegan dieting (I’m vegetarian, so that’s all I cook). He lasted a week before he got sick from the mass amounts of oils and fats that are required of keto. I hardly ever cooked with oils. He is now reverting back to vegetarian.
