Time to add some accessories to the Jeep Cherokee roof rack starting with the side awning. Chose to run the Yescom 6.5x8.5 awning. It's half the price of larger name brand units but seems to be just as good. Super easy to install and so far so good. Very strong unit I hit my garage door frame and it broke the frame awning is fine...

I just ordered and received that awning that I paid on Amazon 160 bucks, I noticed that around the Velcro and I used sail tape. We’ll see how that works.

do you think using ubolts to secure the brackets to the crossbars would work.. I really dont want to drill holes into my crossbars.
