Thanks for this wet review, Liz. As a festival goer I had the "chance" to thoroughly test both a basic Quechua 2s and a 2-people MT-900 Forclaz, which is Decathlon's trekking sub-brand, and I never experienced a drop in it. No wonder why the 2-seconds is the go-to choice for homeless people all across Europe. If you have to live in it, at least, it won't let you down.

Great reviews and tips! I have used Ozark Trail products for 20 years. But I always pair them with an appropriately sized camping tarp whenever I expect rain or stiff winds. I have never had a wet tent. But this does bring up a point. The camping tarps I use are true camping tarps rather big box retailer tarps. I use the DD Hammock 3x3 and 4x4 tarps and this year I will add the 5x5 to my collection. When one adds the cost of these tarps my combined cost for any of my setups is $130-$220 which is not cheap. However I love the flexibility this combination allows since the independent tarp can be set up in multiple configurations over the tent without being limited by any preset guy/connection points. Plus in extremely foul weather the tarps take the beating rather than the tent poles and tent fabric. My tarps create a nearly bomb proof sanctuary and have withstood multi-day high wind rain events without failing. I do acknowledge the bigger the tent the harder the challenge it is to pair the tent with a tarp that can cover it entirely. In that case one may to accept “significant tarp coverage” as a compromise position.

The best review for waterproof camping tents. She actually shows how the tests was done. other videos only say things but don't show the actual tests...

What do you think the best wind and water proof family tent for 8 to 10 people for winter, all season, 4 season would be?
There is a lot of wind on lake shores.
Heavy rain 2-3 days.
Great information.
I enjoyed your video presentation.

That pretty much sums it up in a very well presented and succinct video. Thanks

Ahh! You're back with a video! Those were some good tips about the things to look for with regards to waterproofing. I can definitely see the benefits of the vestibule and wish the oztrail I had had both a vestibule and full fly. The partial fly was still fine though. Very informative as always, Liz!

I can also recommend Exped Orion II Extreme. I have spent 4 - 5 months camping in Greenland during summers with several heavy rain experiences. It is easy to get in and out of the tent without letting rain or drops into the inner tent. It is good for people up to 178 cm (5' 10").

Nice in-depth review! Right off the bat, the Teton is the way to go for camping. If this had a e-port, this would be a complete package for car camping. Cheers!

great information. I've been using Coleman for some time. They aren't the best but I meticulously seal the seams inside and out put a tarp on inside that comes up just above the seams and I've weathered many rains without getting wet. Not into spending several hundred dollars on a tent. Live in the south, camp April through November.

Have to agree. Have used Teton tent in a trip with 3 or 4 days of rain. Not a single drop inside. Highly recommend Teton.

I've just had a disaster in a out sunny 2 room dome tent, very simler to one you tested with a partial fly sheet (gazebo style) with mainly single layer around the sides.. it leaked at the inverted stitching every where around all 4 sides....
Thank you for posting your results on these product's

Happy new year Liz, great to see you back with a new vid. I reckon the Teton Sports tent to do really well. It's very affordable and has a very manageable size compared to the Wawona 6. As always nice to hear your thoughts on these tents. Also, nice to see the new graphics incorporated in the vid, cheers.
