As I listen to you, I am folding laundry, at 1:48 in the morning. Everyone in the house is asleep except me. This is a common situation for me. I am 75 years old this year and I live in a four generation home, minus one. Two of my granddaughters live with me and my husband, plus, one of them is pregnant and has a two year old. The girls mother, my daughter, died several years ago at the age of 44. So we are four generations, minus one. As I am folding I am thinking of the pleasure I get from seeing my fresh laundry folded neatly in the drawer. The sight of sheets and blankets in my linen cabinets, stacked neatly or resting inside a blanket holder gives me joy. My great granddaughter’s clean clothes excites me. So yes, many of us get great satisfaction from doing the ordinary things of life!

Oh Rachel you never fail to inspire me! I must apologize for not letting you know sooner that I did receive my lovely Flower Frog.. I was so excited when it came. It has a place of honor on my hutch along with your sweet note .. I’ll have it on my window sill next week with some flowers..I was gifted a lovely small ceramic planter that actually was made to hang on the wall.. its dark green and I hung it by my front door.. it looks so cute against our dark red brick and it was perfect for Ivy!
Yes I’ve learned that a number of flowers don’t like too much water.. another one being Geraniums.. took me awhile to figure that out. Your hall bathroom is very nice.. that oval window is stunning! ..I’ve been working on some closets also.. a daunting task but so rewarding when thinned down and it’s amazing the peace I feel when it’s done. Thanks for another lovely, calming video.

When I saw your fabrics, I had to smile at your beautiful organization. I love sewing but find myself wanting to have better fabric for quilts. Most fabrics I own are lesser quality and thrifted. I love quilting and would love to see a video about your quilting. Seeing some of the quilts you create or pillows maybe would be so wonderful.
