Japan is perfect for solo you're travelling solo, you won't feel out of place wherever you people in restaurants eat alone....even in popular tourist spots you'll notice some people wandering on their is why many solo travelers (especially women) from Western countries like to go to Japan

In Japan, majority of the hotels allows you to store or leave your luggage before check-in time. You can also leave your luggage on a locker in the train station (most stations have these) <3
