Discovery's length was actually quite well predicted... It's great that they showed the discovery and the enterprise side by side in the recent episode.

On the last episode of season 3 they take a trip on the outside of the turbo lift, if that is what the decks look like in between decks the ships sizes are at least double what you think they are

"Transitioning" Klingons, my ass. They are stupid. Redesigning them was stupid. I can wrap my wee brain around the spore drive (for the sake of the show) but not the Klingon redesign. When they were "redesigned" from the Original Series to the Original movies then into TNG, it made sense. Enterprises did a nice job with the story arc to explain the difference. But these creatures: Dishonourable!

The Shenzhou and Discovery are ok looking, but dear lord, that Klingon ship looks like a cathedral threw up all over it.

I've thought that one could explain the different amounts of levels  that people describe Enterprise having by using different levels for separated sections of the ship.
So for example, there are 24 levels from top to bottom, but for example the right and left pylons might have 2-3 levels each that can't be accessed directly from the main level are named levels 25-26 and 27-28. That way you don't have to say that there's a leak in level 20, right pylon section, but just say level 25.
Probably there's just a mistake in the script, but i think my idea would work as an in-universe explanation...

Hey, great video and you are the only guy on youtube to pronounce shenzhou correctly!

Once again, you are sadly mistaken if you expect ANY consistency in Star Trek. Being inconsistent is has been the standard since the beginning of the original series. And, in the immortal words of William Shatner playing William Shatner "It's only a TV program."

Maybe, after you reach deck 10 on the Shenzhou, you have to go to a different part of the ship to get to decks 11-15. As for the guy in First Contact who said the ship had 26 decks I'm guessing that his injuries and the stress of the situation are the reasons why he misspoke. I'm guessing stress is also why Worf said 29. A combat situation is enough to make people fumble their words and mess up their numbers, even if they are Klingons.

Great vid! The Klingon sarcophagus ship is pretty cool. I'm really not a fan of the show just bc it's completely out of the Roddenberry genre...they've kinda gone off in a totally diff direction and I'm not happy about it...but it's really awesome to see how much info u got considering there's not much out there.👍🏻

In Star Trek nobody knows how many decks are in the ship and how many crew mebers ship can have. For example: Original Enterprise "no bloody A, B, C, D" at first had 220 crew members abord the ship, then there was 400 and at the end there was 450 and if you look the design of original Enterprise, how the fuck can you place 450 crew members on that "surface"? Enterprise A which was slighty bigger you could put 300 crew members, but on original 450? Nope! Oh yeah and Discovery sucks as DS9.

The display IS inaccurate, Scott Schneider one of the designers has said so. Since all the displays they are using are practical and shooting was started before all of the ship designs were finalized there will be inaccuracies in the displays (Discovery changes size, the pylon and nacelle lengths change etc). Once we get to Season 2 then everything will be rectified.

Why has no one else pointed out the fact that at 0:43 he emphasises "let's start with the Shenzhou" really weirdly. Like he didn't finish his sentence and stopped abruptly. I guess it was just edited wrong

Great video. Please note the warp nacells are not the warp engines. The warp reactor is housef within the hull. Someone please correct me if this is no longer the case in the new series. Again, great video!

It was AWFUL..No internal logic or consistency.Set pieces stuck together...no plausible science...Awful characters. You cant really identify with anyone....burnham/lorca are so so...stametc and the doctor are repulsive...tilly is embarrassing...The dark neon lit cgi is total crap and the battles are from a 1990 computer game...

I play star trek Online, so I prefer the cardina class ship more than the crossfield class and the Walker class.

I like star trek discovery but I like the other series more. the Klingon redesign is one of the biggest problems.

3:44 I could deal with it if it was a 14th century (Hur’q) ship holding the remains of Molor, the greatest villain in Klingon history, and perhaps being revived by the 23rd century Klingons mistaking him for Kahless who in turn leads the Klingons to war with the Federation (and why the latter believes him to be a tyrant in TOS).

The writers seem afraid to allow cultures to change but liberal when it comes to aesthetic redesigns. I have no issue with the ancient Klingons mummifying their dead (see Star Trek IV), however by TOS and TNG it barely seems to fit their current culture.
