Star Size Comparison 2

Dear world,
Let´s talk about time.
When I uploaded my first YouTube video 7 years ago, I would have never thought that it would get that much attention. Had lots of discussions, met new people, continued to make videos about things that intrigued me. Or tried out effects.

I enjoyed it a lot, and I still read every comment that pops up. And they keep coming in. It is a hobby that I am very glad about having started. And I am humbled by the attention.

Well, as time went by I found less time to work on videos, struggled with other things in life, and wondered if I would ever find the time again.

But I always knew one thing:
I owe you something. All the time people were are asking about a sequel to starsize comparison. And yes, I promised once.
I keep my promises. So, whenever I found time over the last year I spent it on that. Here it is.
I hope you like it. I tried to do it in a bit different way. Curious for the feedback. I know I will be hardly able to beat the choice of music from the first part, but let me say, Vangelis Alpha is a piece that is very dear to my heart, I always had this in mind.
Still looking for contact to musicians.
I do not know what the future brings, but I hope we will hear from each other. Enjoy.

I remember watching this back when I was 6 years old.
I’m 14 now. I realize just how amazing this is. I’m getting into 3D animation, and am fascinated by your work.
Time passes, but this will remain a masterpiece.

Perhaps one of my favorite videos on this entire site, I still come back to this video after 5 years and it still blows me away to this day. I especially love the very beginning and very end and how they connect the entire universe, and this video, together. A masterpiece for sure!

This is probably the best video I have ever watched on Youtube.
I first watched it when I was 12 or 13 and now I'm 18, yet I still come back to watch it again and again.
Everything about this is just incredible and the music is amazing, so many feelings were brought out during this video o thank you :')

What I find mind blowing is that many of these stars have surfaces that are completely traversable like our own, yet no foot has ever been there. They have craters and valleys and mountains and hills but nobody has ever seen them, traveled them, stood in their shadows - they just exist out there alone.

Since the day I discovered this video, no other star comparison video has been better than this. Even till now, I still open this up to rewatch once every 2 or 3 months.

Hi Morn, as a kid I'd rewatch this over and over and it helped spark my love for space, I still come back now and watch it and it blows me away every time. Great video.

I watched this video when it first came out, and it has stuck with me since. An easily gained spot in my favourite playlist

Strangely, so many comments misunderstand the moral at the end. Importance is indeed a relational term. We're important to our friends and family while utterly unimportant to the universe. That's no contradiction.

No matter how many times I watch this my mood always changes, I feel connected to the universe.

It's been years now... yet THIS is the one video I keep coming back to, over and over, for universe size comparison. It's - just - that - good.

(The music is so truly perfect, as well.)

This video made me cry and changed my life. I have discovered a love of astronomy and my passion for sharing it. I now own a telescope and am part of the amateur astronomy community. I do outreach and I volunteer at an observatory. You inspired me. Thank you!
