What is Day of the Dead?

Halloween is a Irish celebration and when Irish people moved to America they brought the culture with them,
Irish people never used pumpkins they used turnupis, pumpkins are American traditions,

Irish and Mexicans have lot of things in common and similar cultures

I'm in VietNamese. In my country haven't holiday call "Day of the Dead" but we have some action similar to celebrate for those who passed away and our dead ancestors.
We call "Chạp Mã" is the day end of the year on December, the families celerbrate and picnic at home or place to have many persons of they family. And day of begin of the year on Tet' national holiday on January, 1st. On that day, the families go to the cemeteries, they clean the graves of their ancestors and add fresh flowers then they fire insenses.

Es NOCHE DE MUERTOS. La reunión entre vivos con muertos se da en la noche según la tradición indígena, por eso los panteones se llenan en la noche para recibir a sus muertos. La iglesia ha querido convertir esta bella fiesta pagana en un sincretismo pero no ha podido. Por más que digan "dia de muertos" es Noche de Muertos y ha sido así por siglos.
