Why do they do a plain wire on the top? I know why on the bottom to prevent animals from getting under but I don't understand the top plain wire.

The eco boost engines need 5k oil changes! They recommend 10k so when you have issues they can sell you parts and service! Sadly most auto manufacturers are doing this now, squeezing every dollar out of their customers! Dont buy used, change oil every 5k and sell every 6 years or 80, 000 miles to recoup the most money to invest in a new truck!
