Good morning, Tim, what a cracking ide. Who would have thought alternating the post would have such a profound effect. It just reminds me to always look at a job before I do it the same way, to get the same result. Cheers

Great idea but my ocd would be off the wall as I hate seeing them not in a line and straight 😂😅

Great tips. I need a video on how to drive t-posts, star pickets (whatever people want to call them) and how to drive them into soils which are riddled with stones. Someone said a pneumatic drill bore first then put the post in and fill the gaps which will settle over time rather than driving them. Having trouble locating a good video on it though.

I like stagger post idea, Particularly when your eye sight is getting worse, you won't notice a wavey fence line as much. LOL

It makes total sense really, but wouldn’t of had the guts to do it myself, you would have to be a land owner to initiate something like this that will most likely now become a common practice in the coming years thanks to their boldness, cleverness and especially now as a direct consequence of people viewing your show. 👍🏼

wood/ steel post and 2 or 3 star pickets spacing wont be as bad to look at visually for a fence line since post are all inline. probably would good for a boundary fence line with kangaroos with the pressures they put on them. post that lean over on sloped grounds drive a star picket angled all the way down and screw it off to timber post. i do it to all my h post that have a gate hanging in a direction not in line with fence strained so gate wont lean post over when ground gets wet

I'm thinking this alternate side post placement could also work well when there is pressure from stock on both sides of the fence at different times...your thoughts?

Are there more tips and tricks for fencing in unstable ground? My soil is somewhere in between silt and clay and move like crazy. Posts are pointing in all directions. 😜 Also, the ground is pushing up the posts.
