Ford GEM Module Replacement. Ford Escape Mercury Mariner GEM Module Removal and Replacement

In this video we are showing you how to remove and replace the GEM Module on a Ford Escape or Mercury Mariner First Generation. It should cover models from 2001 to 2007.
If you use a used GEM Module and you want it to function correctly you will have to program it. We will demonstrate how to do that with MaxySis 908p in another video.
In order to reach the GEM Module you will have to remove the Center Console. Once you remove the center console it will take you less than 2 minutes to replace it.
Make sure that you get one with the same part number and it will work.
If you have some electrical problems it is very possible that the GEM module is bad.

This only works on vehicles 2005 and up. The 01-04 don’t have a floor shifter and the gem module is not in the center console.

i have thinkdiag and try to remove then try to remove the gen, everytime I disconnect the battery I lost contact with the scanner, so I don't disconnet the battery and start disconect the gen connector, the result the same lost communication, now I have all the door with problems the hood etc. do you think the gen is damage
