A giant crack appeared in the ground in Kenya, seemingly overnight

Geologists are trying to figure out the cause of a 50-foot deep crack that opened up in the ground in Kenya. Scientists say it could be a sign that the continent, over millions of years, will eventually split in two. CBS News' Debora Patta joins CBSN from South Africa with more.

Madagascar is an island but it still remains part of Africa. Malagasees are still Africans. So after the split Kenya, Tanzania, Somalia, Ethiopia and Mozambique will still be part of Africa and not ' a new continent'. Media already trying to come up with a name for the seperating piece of land.
