Hello english guys!
Will I be penalised if the paragraph of text B mentions and connects to text A too, without focusing only on text B?
I was confused about it because we've always been asked to focus only on one text in one paragraph

Does the alternating model mean that we should talk about 1 text in the comparative point in juts a long 1 paragraph?

Hi IB English Guys, for the rich idea can i choose like three important themes which both texts share in relation to the GQ? So for example, comparative point #1 will be about the common theme of violence and then i write two paragraphs for that. Then for Comparative point #2 the rich idea would be the theme of transformation, and so on… would that make sense to do?

Great and informative video! I just wanted to know if the approach I'm using is valid, I usually pick a stylistic device present in both texts which can be related to the prompt and talk about it in separate paragraphs. For example, if the technique chosen is symbolism, I will discuss symbolism in Text A in one paragraph and then symbolism in Text B in another paragraph, and then in that second paragraph, I will compare or contrast. I'm wondering if it's okay to only mention one stylistic device per paragraph so that in total, on average 3 major stylistic devices will be mentoined?

Do I need 3 comparative points, or should i just make my analysis more detailed and just use 2 comparative points

Hi! I have a question... Is it okay for me to relate the arguments with the authors life and biography, like using the authors life experiences as a possible reason for a certain ending? Thanks for the video :)

Hi! Would you also suggest that some or all of the body paragraphs address both works? Especially if the student does not have time to write 2 paragraphs per point, could the 3rd point be only one joint paragraph? Even with the 'alternating' method, I worry the students will not do enough comparison.
