This video was an eye-opener! The idea of controlling our reactions and finding strength within ourselves is so empowering. I've always struggled with being overly affected by others' moods, but these Stoic habits are something I definitely want to try. Especially the one about taking a break from social media – so needed in today's world!

So many emotionally free people here. Keep going good folk. I am learning to keep myself happy and if that doesn't fit others plans, then so be it. I'm learning to be happy with my lot. Social Media has a lot to answer for. I'll post when I feel like I want to with want I want. For my benefit or anything else I want. I have never taken notice of anything I see online that I let get to me, we all have our own lives to live enjoy your life, live your life for you and not others.

Ugh, I just cant believe my husband left me after 18 years, he just left me.he doesnt even want to talk to me anymore. Ive tried everything possible to get him back, but nothing seems to work and I cant stop thinking about him Im frustrated I dont see my life with anyone else. Ive done my best to get rid of the thoughts of him, but I cant I dont know why I’m saying this here, I really miss him and just cant stop thinking about him

These recitations of wisdom from thousands of years ago will always be applicable as long as we are humans. Every technique Ive put into practice has had not-negative effects. I cannot see the end so I don't know if they will be negative, but it seems unlikely since it bolsters self-growth and a healthy expression of emotions. In other words its helped me a lot. I'm grateful for it.

Marcus Aurelius really emphasized that power lies within our reactions, not the circumstances around us. This video does a stellar job explaining how Stoic principles can help us become masters of our own emotions rather than being at the mercy of external influences. Have you guys tried applying any of these Stoic habits in your day-to-day life? Which one resonated with you the most?
