So Jeff the grafts were done on brand new soft growth, some people I guess call thoughs water shoots, one of my monsters died from 28 degrees last winter, but I still have 2 monster trees in ground, I'm hoping for a mild winter as they are near as cold hardy like I first thought, but makes sense cause Nabal avo is not cold hardy at all.

Have you requested budwood of the newly released UCR variety officially named LB516 LUNA previously named MARVELOUS when it was in development. Gray Martin mentioned that he selected towards heat tolerance. Dark ripening, B type, upright compact daughter of GWEN.
