The term "Category 5" refers to wind speeds on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale, which classifies hurricanes, not storms. There's no such thing as a "Category 5 storm"—the correct term is "Category 5 hurricane, " as the category system only applies to hurricanes, not all storms.
