I personally loved BF1's gunplay, it challenges you to not only control recoil mechanically, but also control spread by bursting and shot-pacing, which is the mental game. Support class LMGs notwithstanding. Great vid Enders~

I enjoyed BFV quite a bit, it's still pretty fun to just sit down and play with friends when I find the time to play it.

I have to add that in MY opinion BF V is a really fun game to play in the state that it is in now. Gunplay, running around, sounds and everything. I really like it, and yes I played it since launch. Looking at games purely from a factual standpoint does not work. We don't play the game on paper. Actually playing BF V feels really good to me. Better than the other BF games. I don't care if on paper the other games are better :) all I know is 2042 is worse on paper and when you play it. The weapons, gunplay, aim and all the rest feels like

I’ve seen multiple people in the bfv discord rally against me, convinced that the recoil system is consistent every time and is based on a learnable pattern. But there are two entire layers of randomness to the recoil, they couldn’t be more wrong.

The only things I really liked about it are the in air ledge grabbing and rolling, I miss the ability to air strafe and slide like in bf4

Battlefield 1 really was a masterclass in how to make a BF game. Pretty much every aspect in BF1: sound, maps, gameplay etc was tailored to captivate veterans and newcomers. It is essentially THE Battlefield to play. Unfortunately, it was the last and may always be the last great BF, a masterpiece even.

I just started playing BF5 and to be honest this game deserved so much better.

Coming from someone who mainly played BF1 I adore the change of pace and really digged the gun play, but the way how EA and Dice spat on the fans regarding the historical inaccuracies had their graves on retail, and sadly it's nothing but a hacker hive right now, hoping that the community somehow will save this game similar to Titanfall 2.

I know that for many (most) people i will look like complete moron, but Battlefield V (and battlefield 1) is only two battlefields i enjoy after battlefield Vietnam and 1942. I tried every bf, but i didnt like bf2, bad company, bf3 not even bf4, Battlefield V mostly because of movement, gun feel, fluid gameplay overall is my favourite battlefield game.

Totally agree. I’m still mad to this day because DICE and EA were disrespectful towards history and to the people who were affected by WWII by making the game focus on politics rather than history and also because they abandoned the game during wrong opportunity

i dont like 5 that much but i will still disagree with your take the gunplay aspect. BF1 was purely random and bfv at least the spread wasn't as bad. i just hate the sliding mechanic the most.

I can agree on the stuff you say about BFV failures but the question is: is BFV more enjoyable now than BF2042 now, and a lot of people would answer: yes. I think most sane people don't say 'bfv WASN'T that bad' but 'bfv ISN'T that bad'. There are so many things wrong in BF2042 that I'd rather play a game with random recoil and the rest things that are wrong. Maybe I've been just lucky not to met a single person saying the things you mentioned in the video.
