I loved the invisible life of addie larue and I wouldn’t really call it a slow book, but it feels very character driven and it starts off with no actual plot as you get to know Addie. I actually really liked that part, but I could also understand when some say that they had trouble getting through that part. If you like character based storylines you’ll be fine and probably really enjoy this

This is how you lose the time war is a really beautiful book but it is very confusing😂. Just go with it. You’re not really supposed to know what’s going on until the end. Ik it sounds weird but just trust me it’ll all come together, it’s supposed to be confusing but it is SOOOO WORTH IT!!!!

I personally soft DNF’d Six of Crows because I decided to read the Grishaverse in publication order. Yes, I am aware that people seem to prefer the Crows duology and say that you don’t need to read the first two to enjoy them.

I’m so excited to hear your thoughts on Empire of Storms! It’s my favorite of the TOG series. Also looking forward to hearing what you think of Quicksilver. For most of the book I wasn’t a fan of Fisher but near the end he comes around for me so I gave it 4.5 stars.

I also read this is how you loose the time war and was confused in the beginning too. But is just one of those books where it is written that way on purpose, you just have to let yourself be confused for a little while, until it all of the sudden makes sense. So at first you just have to let yourself focus on enjoying the prose.

This is how you Lose a Time War was a 5 ⭐️ for me. I did immersive read this though and think that’s the best way to consume it. I listened to the audiobook while I read the book. i just read six of crows… it took me about 150 pages to get into the story but it got good at the end

I'm currently reading Queen of shadows and I didn't even know we have to read the next books in tandem !! thks for the info. You should read Grisha trilogy first if you didn't enjoy the first pages of six of crows, like me. It's hard to be into the book if you don't really know the world first.

This is how you lose the time war was a struggle for me all the way through. I don't see the Happy Place comparison at all. I pushed through to the end, but in my opinion, it wasn't worth it. I read the Shadow and Bone trilogy before Six of Crows and it definitely helped understand the Grishaverse, and I actually really enjoyed the series! For me it took like 200 pages to get into Six of Crows, but then it was really good.
