Holding a Wolf Spider #shorts

Can I handle this plump Wolf spider? I would bet that I can....and do. She is a bit large and looks to be gravid or pregnant with eggs. Wolf spiders may appear big and scary, but most of the time, they just look that way. Any large, gray or black spider tends to look scary and be cause of many urban legends and fear. Just like most arachnids, she is non aggressive and would rather each of us go our separate ways. #shorts #spiders #holdingspider

My 2nd fave spider after jumping spiders. Not quite as skittish as grass spiders, but they can still move.

It's funny how selective primal fear can be. I've spent most of my life hunting out and handling biters, crushers, venomous, and generally strange and dangerous creatures... but I draw the line with spiders. Thanks again for showing us the weird and wonderful side of nature and yourself.

The situations you put yourself through have tempted me to keep a spider pet again. I would probably just keep them for a short term, catch and release, but with a few days or a week before release.

If that's recent, looks like things are going to be nice and green there. Cool vid, those wolfs do appear big and scary. Thanks for showing us they are just doing their thing meaning no harm.

That was neat Chris! Now I am wondering why the call them "Wolf" spiders? Hope that you are doing well & staying safe out 👍👍😉😉

They are very timid despite their size. One of my very favorite spiders.

Pretty fast considering that was not optimal temperature.

You’re a good human, calling her sweetie. No reason to bite a human unless a human is a major dick, threatens the spider. I hand feed chipmunks and squirrels without getting bit either. They trust me. Still would be too scared to let a spider walk on me. But I really don’t like killing them. And I get these spiders around where I live a lot. Usually I get it outside or it ultimately runs away from me, shoots off to somewhere I can’t reach it. I shrug it off and just think, well, any gnats that get it will at least be taken care of. 👌🏼

Yikes! Don't they have a mean bit! I would never pick one up, but then again I am afraid of spiders.

Wolf spiders do not make web as they do not have silk. But solid video
