As a firefighter, i can confirm that our turnout gear will the warmest thing you could ever wear. Really nice during the winter but its awful in the summer

You should be able to wear both a jacket and a shirt at the same time. Makes no sense that you cannot stack a simple shirt and a winter jacket on top of eachother. They also decreased inventory slots so it would be a nice change if you could wear a shirt and jacket at the same time.

The other thing to consider is maximum wetness. If a piece of clothing is soaked it's offering no insulation. So in some cases it's worth sacrificing 100 insulation for something that is essentially waterproof. Also as vests go there's a mark in the wiki that the hunter vest (winter) is the best vest for cold/wetness but I think it may be an error.

Its also often best to chose water resistance depending on the map youre playing

You have to consider how some of the clothes absorb water. Even if you have best insulation its not helping if it drops to 0 when you have a little snowstorm or rain.

Firefighter jacket is 7kg empty and dry tho guys. So you will have no stamina if you got plate + full fire gear + essential loot

Well if you played Namalsk, you would know fire fighter jacket is probably one of the heaviest jackets and worst thing you can have with plate carrier. tactical shirt is only thing you should wear with plate carrier if you don't want stamina reduction

This is great but like others mentioned, how wet/soaked they get is something to consider but then things like camouflage are also something you need to consider when choosing clothing. As far as boots go you also have to worry about stealth. Hiking boots and Combat boots are the only boots that fall into the same category as tennis shoes with a run sound lvl of 2 and a sneak sound lvl of 1. With hiking boots offering best insulation but not the best durability. Combat boots offers high insulation but has greater durability. A lot of people go for Jungle, Hunter or Assault whether it’s for the camo, extra knife or higher durability but the sound lvl will literally get you killed. Hiking and Combat still have good colors (brown & black) and their durability isn’t bad(170 for combat & 130 for hiking). These boots are slept on and hands down the best overall boots when you consider everything.

I did pick up the chain mail pants and they were warm and felt like it had the armor. I play on CHF and those zeds are very strong. great video
