Hades REVIEW - Hard To Fault This SPECIAL Game

Показать описание
Hades Review
This isn't a new game, but it holds a position at an extreme of the review scale that I'm trying to establish... and I just like talking about it!
-Footage in this is taken from the Xbox Series X
-Everything is taken from first runs on new save files, because I don't want to spoil a thing
-I have previously rolled credits on the game (If you know, you know)
-The game is available on PC, Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series & Xbox One
-Game was not provided for review, I have no relationship with Supergiant or Xbox

About the Gaming Arcadia review & rating system:
There is no perfect way to condense reviews down to a score. BUT scores can still serve a purpose, they can still convey a lot of information in a tiny frame. Our ratings try to consider the vision and ambition of a game, and how well it delivers. Scope & Execution.
Scope - Letter-graded, A-F
A - Typically the AAA budget blockbuster, aiming to be the best what it does - Be it a huge open world packed with content, a cinematic action game that spares no expense on presentation, or anything else. Big games
B - Still aiming to be the best at what it does, but with a tighter scope
C - Still likely to be a moderately sized team effort, but not so lavish on production value and not pushing boundaries
D - Smaller, tightly focused project.
E - Small-small, perhaps quite singular in focus
F (U?) - There is no discernible ambition. Troll project
S - Unicorn. A game that sincerely attempts to push above & beyond anything we've seen (ie Star Citizen, but real)
The scope will broadly align with the budget of the game, but it isn't a direct correlation - it's more an in-exact way to represent how ambitious the game is. There's no shame or shade in a game having a tight scope, so this really isn't a scale of 'good to bad'.
Execution - Numeric scale, 0-100
100 is perfect execution in everything the game attempts.
We use the full scale, not the weird 65-96 scale you may see elsewhere. There isn't an exact science to the score, but we feel it is important to recognise and reward the things a game does well (it can be surprisingly easy to overlook those when you are trying to critique)!
"Must play!" - We never tell you whether you should buy a game or not. Everyone's preferences, priorities and circumstances are their own. We're here to tell you about the game, not dictate your finances.
