Thanks for this easy version. Will give it a go. I could only ever play parts of the original - other sections in it were too difficult.

I am going to keep hammering on the difficult version. Thanks anyway.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Yes the difficult "original version" is obviously the way to go if you have the skill and time to do it. Have fun!

You're so right - the original version is for experts only. Thanks for this simplified version - really nice.

Thanks, a very nice composition of one of the world's greatest pieces, imho. What is the model and brand of your guitar. I think the headstock says Taylor, but then again I was not sure. Thank you.

Hello;
I was just taking a break from my guitar and piano recital rehearsals and I decided to browse the web for a minute or two.
There are many great ways of performing this very beautiful musical piece.
But I was compelled when I heard the simplicity and the magnificent beauty of your music arrangement.
And so... I want to express to you ...that which to me ; is the real vibrant essence of a guitar arrangement .
Your arrangement of CAVATINA is not just simple ...but its more than that ...allow me to say, that the simplicity of your guitar arrangement is just genius, vibrantly beautiful and compelling.
Bravo !

Hell yeah. Give it straight n easy. Wedding version needed! I’ve got my refrain and melody notes. Lovely to hear your version. I’m putting some vocal oooos into reverb at the same time. Cheers for sharing.
EDIT: a pal hipped to The Shadows version which reeks of Roy Buchanan - I’d loved to have heard how he’d had blistered our faces with his version!!! If I’m being honest: I don’t actually like the John Williams arrangement, the middle piece after these progressions you’ve gone through feel off to me and definitely need those strings to pad out the guitar. I basically have a very similar attitude to your version here. Playing your friends down the aisle should be fun and not a grade 8 exam.

Cheers mahn.

This is a great way to start learning cavatina while you are still a beginner-intermediate player. Personally, I prefer to learn other pieces that are more at my level of playing and then try tackle the original cavatina once my technique/skill is good enough to do so.
