***CORRECTION*** The WiFi card is slotted in not soldered as I incorrectly mentioned. Sorry for the confusion it may have caused.

I liked the second setting on the camera, where your contours became warmer. Awesome microphone, but what a misser with the Too bad. I just want to thank you so much for your reviews, I am in Canada and picked up my Surface Laptop 7 today. So far all good, your reviews have helped me pick out the new toy.

They killed the Spectre line for this 300 nit 60fps wobbly screen mess. None of these camera effects really need an npu. It’s not ai, it’s Microsoft branding.

Thanks for taking a look.

I would not consider any new laptop with anything under 400 nits these days.

I can't believe HP actually released this model. That screen is so bad and crazy wobbly, never seen something that bad on a laptop before, couldn't believe it when I was checking it out in BB.

The Surface Pro 7 15-inch and Lenovo Yoga 7x seem to be the best of the Snapdragon X Elite laptops.

Would like to know which one is the best between the GTX and the snapdragon

I do not know why HP screwed up. I have the legendary HP Envy 16 with i7 13700H and 16 gb RAM with 1TB SSD and Intel Arc A370M and it is wonderful except the battery life. Their Spectre 14 was SUPERB AS WELL BEING THE NUMBER 1 RECOMMENDATION EVEN AGAINST YOGA 9i. HP went the wrong way now, very disappointed. I won’t buy HP again, Microsoft Surface and Lenovo are the way to go in 5 years time.

Okay pc. Camera and mics are okay. In looking at your view of the internals it appears that the wifi card is slotted in. Is the view of the internals inaccurate or is the wifi card slotted in and not soldered in? Display could be better. Great initial review.

No wonder the battery life is great when it sports a max 300 nits display that chugs along at 60 Hz. My, what a let-down. 🙈

Hey Andrew, I noticed your Cinebench multi-core score for Surface 7 showing 680 but I'm getting 942 on mine (15"). I wonder why our results are so different.

I need a new laptop and I want to get one part of this co pilot range from any brand... please recommend the best one. I'm currently thinking the Lenovo yoga slim 7x 32gb ram/1tb.

Hi, could you please tell me which one of Snapdragon X laptops has the best speakers + oled screen? Probably Surface Pro 11, but it's not a laptop and Surface Laptop 7 doesn't have oled... ;\

What’s your main gripe with the Samsung galaxy edge 4?

IPS display that only gets as bright as 300 nits and Wifi 6E in 2024 when you can do better with HP's competitors is extremely disappointing and a no buy for me in 2024! I don't know what HP was thinking with the HP OmniBook X with Snapdragon X Elite but this one is definitely not a winner in my book and even at the price of $1200. I did like the webcam quality as well as the internal mics, however as well as the excellent battery life. The sound quality out of the internal speakers is okay, but not stellar. Thank you Andrew for your very comprehensive review as always my friend! 👍😁

Sell for $700 with the target audience of it being used as a mostly single cable mode desktop display docked no fan noise device.

If ask you do is office and web browsing $1200 is still a tall ask.

If I bought a laptop where 10% of software or accessories doesn't work. I would consider that a failure. That will certainly improve with updates but will they come in less than a month or take longer? $1150-1200 is too much for a laptop with average specs that does only basic tasks well.
