Okay I seriously was looking into flights to Scotland and travel books about the highlands this morning, out of the blue. Now, Rick randomly posts this and it ends up in my subscription feed. This is crazy. Can't wait to go!

I come from a part of Vermont once called Caledonia and Coos Country and the landscape looks EXACTLY the same.

here lately i been trying to find out more about my family tree cus my dad had family from Scotland Ireland and British my father down the line is British, France, Scottish, Irish, Netherlands, and Norwegian all from the European side hes had a dna test to see wht races he has in him cus his family my father told me i was named after a Scottish river and something called the highlands clan my father is 71 born 1948 3 years after ww2 and im only 19 cus of my father my family tree could go way back to A.d. cus he had family tht was alive in ww1 and civil war so maybe even further back cus his parents which could lead back to about 1000 years ago my name is Cameron Conner which is both Scottish and Irish names also weird how my name Cameron means crooked nose our whtever cus my nose really is like tht

Part of the reason the highlands..are sparsely populated..
Was to do with the land clearings ..
By the English..to make way for sheep...
More profit in it..
Back in history...
