Dogs Vs Intruder. What Would Your Dog Do?

They usually act more aggressively when the owner is home because their instinct is to protect their pack, not the belongings. Animals have no concept of property.

A dog is there to defend you. If you aren't there, he has nothing to defend. I would like to see this when the owner is home.

Dogs learned all their lifes to respect human, of course they would run, bark in a distance, than attack, attack is dangerous and they're in less number. Dogs know they're weeker than a human, they're not fools to attack everyone. They doesn't know propety, they value life, that's why they protect the owner more than the house.

is this experiment fair because dogs react more off of energy, the "intruder" is not nervous like a real burglar or assailant would be.  Would the dog protect against an actual intruder? I think it would.

They should of done another test where the owner was there and the intruder acted like he was gonna attack the owner, and another test where the dogs alone but when the intruder comes in he acts like he's gonna hit the dog. As animals we have the base instinct to survive, so I think because the intruder didn't show any hostility the dogs didn't want to bother attacking him because that's probably the best course of survival, no fighting increases chances of survival.

I think a dog alone in a house has no pack to protect. If the owner was in the house or another animal the dog sees as part of the pack, that is when they will go into protect mode. I think dogs who protect a home must just be extremely territorial of their space

Dogs could sense human 200%, whether he is calm and just walking around or up to bad intention and nervous. I bet if it was a real intruder, the result would be different.

ok first of all the guy came in like he owned the place! thus making the dog though he was in the wrong place! now if the guy had busted in aggressively making the dog feel threaten it would have been a whole different story!
