You can tell by the dog's body language that he was suspicious of the man but it wasn't until his owner screamed that he went into defense mode.

Doggy was suspicious right from the beginning, walked around the guy stiff like a broom, sniffing every inch of him. This dog wasn’t bonding st all. That’s why he turned on him immediately when mom’s voice got in stress.
Excellent bodyguard!! He is supposed to get something veery tasty 😋

You can tell by the Dane's body language that that was NOT a happy dog. Even trying to keep him close to the door away from his owner. This is pretty perfect guarding in my opinion! He understands that there's a chance his owner is expecting someone but hes able to respond correctly to her screams. Pretty cool :)

Shout out to the little dog who was barking up a storm sounding the alarm triggering the Great Dane into continuing his action! What a team! No audio on the recording but you can see the little dog barking nonstop.

I had a 137lb male Rottie, Samson. Friendliest, sweetest dog in the world, but let him think someone was messing with his daddy and he went from sweetie pie to snarling defender in a heartbeat. He passed in 2009 and I still miss him every single day. Dogs are awesome.

See that dog is a gentle giant. He knows he’s big and can hurt people so he didn’t go too hard. If he was really ruled up though he could have really hurt that guy.
