There is a reason those frets were wore down to the wood, glad you brought another one back to life!

This is nearly identical to a "T" to the guitar my buddy's dad purchased for his his other son returning from the Vietnam a surprise for his son never made it home and the dad in all his grief hung the classic instrument on his son's bedroom wall. This son obviously loved music and guitar and at the time (early 70s) this was his son's dream guitar that his coalminer father saved up pennies to buy (probably $200-300 back in the day). What a sad yet moving tribute. I often thought of writing a story about this experience but Matthew here and his obvious admiration for this very classic instrument brings back positive memories to this poor father's grief. Thanks!! Jim C.

That LP straight into the Bassman is one of the best blues tones I've ever heard - super warm bass with SO much top end clarity

The NEXT most important aspect beyond restoring this guitar is: "Who is the unknown legend who played it?" Their soul is making us smile.

Guitars. The older and skankier they look the better they are. Absolutely nailed it.

That old wood with those old pickups.... It sings, cries, rejoices, howls and moans like a magnificent creature.

5:20 - what it sounds like to hear 60+ years of being cooped up suddenly given a wide open space to breathe, stretch, and growl. What an amazing sound.

"I'm not a Les Paul guy", he says as he's busy wiping the floor with the rest of us every note he plays. Glad it was a successful rehabilitation.

By the expression on your face it would be fair to say she's a keeper.

For anyone watching this with some cheap guitar, fear not! Keep playing, the worse the action the better you will be when you get a nice guitar. NEVER envy another musicians guitar or feel bad because your is worth less than $100. Some of the greatest songs were written on battered acoustics.

Its stuff like this that just proves to me time and time again that this is the best YouTube channel on guitars. Such appreciation and care for vintage equipment. And absolutely fantastic playing to match.

Theres nothing more pleasing than playing dynamically with P90s, we need longer jams in your videos!

Watching this guitar get a second life makes me feel like I’m watching one of those abandoned puppy videos where the mangy mutt turns into an awesome doggy and gets a new home. ☺️
