"That was the last family holiday" there's a lot in that statement alone.

Shout out to Seiko for making watches affordable to Nico's parents back in the day

He has good parents. My grandfather had a regular citizen watch, and even though he was a very rich man, he wore this watch because it was bought by his 2 daughters(my mom and aunt). He only took it off on his last days. It will always be precious to me and I will also be handing them down to my kids.

The emotion you can feel from your voice as you talk about your parents is really beautiful. Im a father of 3 and wish for the opportunity to give my children something like this.

Totally agree with you brother. My father bought me a sub-mariner stainless in 1982 with the date display I will never sell that watch. He spent $400 $400

You never know when you’re having that one last time together as a family. Those are times that will never last forever, but will remember forever

I found your channel a couple of years ago but I feel like I've known you my whole life. You're a good egg, Nico.

I love this. I have a tiny collection: a Casio, a gold Seiko and a Datejust. I'd protect the Seiko with my life, it was my late father's. I get a different feeling when I wear it. 😊

I had a Seiko as my first watch(so it’s cool to see that the ones you have mean so much to you bc u are an absolute legend). Not a Rolex or an ap, but I will treasure it more than any watch I could possibly get in the future, because alongside with being my first watch, it was a gift from my grandmother on my dads side for my 14th birthday.

The way he looks at these watches is honestly so wholesome. There is not a price tag in the world that can replace the memories those watches hold

I got teary eyed thinking about the things my parents gave me. The way he closes the video looking at that watch, longing for things to be the same as when he got it. Thanks for your sharing, and triggering memories I have.

I also have that Seiko from my grandpa and regardless of how much it’s worth it’s worth everything to me.

I'm 15 and a couple of days ago i got my first watch, the citizen tsuyosa in tiffany, and I hope I will cherish it as much as you do the one your parents gifted you at that age

That's why watches are great mementos of life, all come with a story and that is your personal provenance that you can pass down to the next generation inside your family.
