Those walls would look great with linseed oil or a wipe on poly. Brings out the color of the wood. Great job.

Those walls look absolutely beautiful my thought as a granny is that you might not think you're going to be touching those walls but you have children that will be touching them walls when they're out there playing I say seal them up the only thought that I have on a personal level your ceiling where you put the Staples to attach the bubble wrap have you thought about putting a black strip down to hide that maybe you could even do it with hot glue just to make it look a little more finished good job guys it's just beautiful

I would definitely clear coat the walls! It will make it pop! Also will make it much easier to wipe down and clean. Any moisture that gets to the wood will discolor it without a clear coat protection!

A matt sealer might be an option on the wood panelling if you do decide to seal it, a low sheen would both protect and highlight the wood without the shine of a straight varnish/sealant.

Ashley.. I think I heard you groan when he said "this one looks upside down" 😂 He was right, it looked upside down both ways, .. but having an OCD husband for 30 yrs, & building or renovating too many homes with him, my thought would be "this is gonna be a long day"..lol.

Instead of painting, pop the wood grain by using a colored stain like a white or grey. White would give it a clean look while grey would give it a aged barn wood look. grey would look nice with the black trusses. Just a few suggestions.
