His giggles are so adorable. Can't believe he's 2 now

That is a true mom reaction when the kid laughs "interrupting" smiles more and laughs a little with them. Doesn't get upset or louder but instead joins in. I love it.

Wasn't until the end I realized you were reaching behind to tickle him and that's why he was giggling. Ah I remember stuff like that with my mom. You're going to get a random phone call one day when Rupert is grown, and it's just going to be so he can tell you he loves you, and thanks for being my mom. It might be a faint memory, but it means he'll have the safety he needs from you at this age. I'm glad you're such great mums

I love how you managed to make it not sadbeige despite keeping it light and neutral. It's so beautiful with so much visual interest

His giggles are infectious. I giggled with him, he sounds like such a happy toddler.

That reading nook is just the cutest, coziest little area. That would be my favorite place to hang out!

I don’t ever plan on having kids, but I really like this set up on how the kids can become more independent living at such a young age.

His laughs fill me up. As a queer woman in the US it's been hard here. Seeing such a happy queer family with their kiddo gives me hope.

I love that you let us hear his giggles, they're so precious ❤😢 Time moves so quickly, I can't wrap my head around him already being 2

When I was around 9-10, my mother let me pick any color and design I wanted for my bedroom. I picked dark blue for 3 walls and the ceiling, with silver glitter tossed on while the paint was wet to create stars, and the largest wall was a wallpaper of a forest, which I covered with animal stickers over the years. The carpet was green. I wanted to feel like I was camping every night. It built up a love for astronomy and nature. Decades later, my sister moved into that house with her kids, and her son got my old room. He was offered to redesign it, and he cried out, "No! This is PERFECT." He's now 20 and hoping to join NASA's JPL. I feel like, in some small way, I helped to foster that love for space in him. You can never start too young to teach your child responsibility, critical thinking, and a love for nature.

I love how you keep him private but don't shy away from him interacting with you when you film, great balance and fun!

"Not an overwhelming amount". That is so beautiful... being deprived is bad, but so is being overwhelmed

I really love how much joyful content you share of your child in a SAFE way protecting Ruperts privacy. For so many other reasons too, You and Claudia are my found and chosen parental role models! ❤❤❤

Excellent to have light furniture that your child can move!!! ❤ I legitimately could have seriously injured myself when I climbed a bookshelf as a kid (the only time I ever did that, long story). My father failed to properly bolt the shelf to the wall (it was an old set of furniture and there were no warnings way back when). I still have a scar on my foot from that debacle. Although it was the absolute quickest response from my parents lol. They seemed to come from out of nowhere.

I love how careful you are to protect his privacy and anonymity while still sharing these moments with us and him.

We moved a lot so I let the kids help decide where they wanted their things to go. Making every place we moved feel like home. I love the research she put behind nurturing an independent child it makes my heart sing as a mother of 3, thank you for the time you’re putting into our future.

My bestie is a social worker and she did an exchange program when she was in college, so she spent about 6 months in Denmark. Children there are raised differently and it shows. I think we underestimate how rugged and capable toddlers are and when we don't allow them to experience things, we're also stopping them from learning what their boundaries are.

On another note, that laugh!! I'm sure it can turn a bad day around in a second 🖤 He's a lucky little man.

ohh I'm so happy you're doing this! I grew up like this thanks to my mum (I'm a teen rn) and I have to say it's really nice to be able to have your own independence as a child. love your parenting 😊🥰
