It would be kind of cool if you did a video about these rods from the cheapest to the most expensive and what make them good/bad and why. Just thinking something for your next video that would be really informative. I retired ten years ago and hope to make a road-trip to the east coast this summer, maybe I'll run into you, Tight line.

Them short ones at the end would be awesome cause that's less rod to store. I really liked them.

I would say Hellcat sold me when he shut it in the back of the truck and tied it in a knot all of mine are Penn Shakespeare and Akuma

I have one Madkatz rod and two Warrior Cat rods. Both offer exceptional customer service. Warrior Cat customer service went beyond expectations for me. The issue that I ran into with a lot of rod makers is that they only offered rods in 7'6" length or over. I don't fish with rods over 7'2" to include my bass rods because I do a lot of kayak and bank fishing..

I went through many rods before finding CTF. Now I have 7 and need more. Nothing compares to them for me.

I own a Hellcat rod (good rod) and reached out to Catch the Fever about a dragging rod with no response to my emails (working 10-12 a day and couldn't call at the time). Had an issue with the Whisker Seeker rod aluminum reel seat, did a review about it and Whisker Seeker reached out (they contacted me) and fixed the issue. Anyway, Whisker Seeker with their customer service has my business and I spend all my money with them.

Keith, Love the videos, . You do a great job explaining things and your videos are entertaining, Keep it up!!!

I have been really happy with my 10' heavy, pro angler tackle, spinning rods.

My compliments on including some commentary about the Ugly Stik. I just got an Ugly Stik Tiger Elite, and paid $59 for it. I realize the other rods you showed are "specialized", but they are FAR more $. Love 'dem Ugly Stiks! Just sayin'.

I ended up buying 7 Rippin Lips rods this year, 3 Legacy, 1 Legacy SE and 3 HD's. I started off with 2 and then bought a bunch more after fishing with them. They were what I was looking for. These companies charging $100+ for some heavy ass E-glass 1960's party boat rod blanks is criminal.

I bought a few Rippin Lips about 5-6 yrs ago.Didn't know at the time they're S-glass.I hate composite rods (except Ugly Stik), I try to get nothing but full fiberglass.I don't care about weight, weight doesn't mean crap when you're not holding/casting them every second your fishing. My smaller rods like UL, L, Med I like them to be fiberglass too but they're hard to find.Even my 10' fiberglass UL isn't bad to use all day for Crappie, but then I was used to working and swinging a 17-20lb chainsaw 10+ hrs a day and 1-2lb isn't going to matter.
I have had a few composite rods break, one had a 6" chunk fly past my head and nearly took my eye out.Never had a 100% fiberglass rod break in my 46 or so years fishing. The one Rippin Lips rod broke the tip just getting it out of the truck.Emailed them about it to see if there was a replacement tip for it since it was a 2pc rod.Nope no replacement tips.
I wish I could find more of the rods I replaced them with, they were only $24ea. but 100% fiberglass.

I would love to have any of them rods but, money plays a big part for me. I’m using B & M rods from Walmart. One day I will get me one of them fancy rods though. Great video Keith.

Give me the $80 Berkley Ecat for dragging, the $80 Ugly Stik Bigwater for suspending, and the $25 Berkley Big Game for bumping. Very few of the rods I saw at the conference were any better, although they were pretty looking and dag gum eck pen sev! The best of the best are some of the custom rods with swirled guides (guide lines up at reel then swirls to the other side of the rod), but at $200+...who can afford that for one rod? For bank fishing, any 12' glass salt water surf rod will outcast the composites. My opinion from fishing for Tennessee River big cats for over 10 years, just sayin. :)
