Actually, I want this as still because of the small megapixels. 12 on this camera is way way more than adequate for I shoot.

i love the 12mp, i think is the perfect mp count for casual shootings, i shoot weddings, d700 is still my fav to go camera.great review!

Is this A7S's high iso in video much better than the Canon 5D mark 3 ? If so, it would be nice to see you guys do a shoot out in high iso video between the A7S and the C100 !

It really shows nothing about the camera.

Give us real world ISO tests. No body films in a pitch black room, it shows nothing about how the A7S does in low-light. Film a person, at night, or indoors, where there actually is information in the entire frame. And the dynamic range tests "must" include other cameras to compare to, because we don't know how contrasty the scene actually is in real life, so it's a must to put it side by side to a current / tested camera.
Also when testing S-LOG2, it must compared to normal gamma profiles to see how it does.

A real world ISO test, a comparison Dynamic Range test, S-Log2 test compared to normal gamma, that's all we need.

Anyway love the channel and looking forward to the follow-up. The A7s still hasn't been tested properly anywhere on the web.

How is the 12mp work for stills? Is it good enough? I shot many night shots with my A7 but thinking of upgrading. A7r, A7 ll or maybe A7s for those higher ISO?

If they had this camera with less rolling shutter and internal 4K recording capability, for short takes it was going to be the best thing in the market for drones aerial video.
How much rolling shutter ~ 86%-90%

Im planning on using this for filming but I need to know what mount it is! I think its an A mount but could be an E mount if its going to be a major film shooter

How does the rolling shutter compare to a 5d mark 3?

I don't know if it would take an act of congress to have that camera with 10-bit 4:2:2 plus 4k internal recording ... I think people will still flock to GH4
