the 30 minutes limitation isn´t a technical problem, it´s because of a european tax-regulation which defines cameras with a capability of recording longer than 29 minutes not as a photo camera anymore.

And I use this opportunity to address to you how much I enjoy your camera reviews. It´s so easy to get a concentrated, well argued and first of all clear overlook about the features of a camera from your videos, often more than the manufacturer is able to present himself.

Amazing and comprehensive as always. I have a love/hate relationship with mine Maarten. Sometimes it pleases me, sometimes I want to throw it in a bin. I have never felt that way about my GH4. It goes to show that the GH4 is very underrated. For now, they will have to live together in my workflow. Hopefully, A7Siii will be my next camera and will answer some of the silly foibles of this camera. Thanks again. I love your videos! Greetings from Australia

Another great video, thanks. It was really useful to see the extensive feature set exercised for once. I picked-up quite a few tips on facilities I might make use of (or look for) in the future. Also good to see mention of system aspects such as external monitor and audio. A menu navigation tour de force. The A7S (M2|II) ain't bad either!

I'm 10000% sure that this is the dream camera that I'm looking for due to its low light performance. I just wonder if it's a good time to buy? Will the 7s iii come out soon? I only ask for 2 more things: touch screen and better AF performance. Will I be disappointed with the AF performance in this camera?

Excellent review of an awe inspiring camera. I can honestly say this camera would be too good for me but it is interesting to follow Sony's progress anyway. I hope you can review the new a6300 when it is available Maarten. I agree with you on the 30 minute limit. I don't want to buy a video camera for the rare occasions I need to record beyond 30 minutes. I know there's the whole thing with tax on video cameras in Europe, but this is an outdated rule. I can't believe that technology is being crippled because some bean-counters can't handle the blurring of the lines between photography and video!

I think the 30 minutes recording time has to do with Euro restrictions, which legislates that more than 30 minutes of recording time would classified said device as a video electronic device and thus possible subject to additional taxation.

the slomo in camera procecing (like rx100 IV) or we have to Edit all in computer with this camera?
