HASHIMOTOS DISEASE - How to Get Your Life Back & STOP Feeling Symptoms

Hashimotos Disease (Hashimoto's Thyroiditis) is an autoimmune disease that can really disrupt and damage the quality of your life. Unfortunately, most doctors JUST prescribe medication to replace the thyroid hormone, like Levothyroxine, Synthroid, etc and don't tell you your disease CONTINUES to rage on in the background, further damaging your thyroid and causing your symptoms to worsen.

This is really unfortunate because years usually go by before you do anything about it, and then it can be really hard to recover and start to feel yourself again. Luckily there ARE things you can do to stop it from progressing, which I go over in this video, like some diet and lifestyle changes.

You CAN feel better from your Hashimotos disease by doing things other than just replacing your T4 hormone, so if you've been taking your medications and still having fluctuations of dosage and symptoms, this video will help you find relief. Then you'll be able to manage your disease and know what triggers flare-ups of symptoms so you aren't caught off guard or without your quality of life any longer.

This video also applies to anyone diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, Hyperthyroidism, and Grave's Disease - any autoimmune thyroid disease (which Hypothyroidism and Hyperthyroidism in the US and most developed countries is autoimmune in nature)

Then stopped Gluten !!! I knew in 5 days that I was getting better... But once I cut out carbohydrates completely I felt such relief i sat down and cried
I'm still working on it today. But i am sure it's all about the foods I eat....

I didn’t realize you had to quit gluten for so long before it runs through your system. I’m off and on with gluten and now I realize that I haven’t been doing it right. This video was very helpful. Thanks

I'm a 25 year old overachieving female engineer who went through fire and water to get to where I am. But now, due to this disease, I need 14 hours of sleep a day to just maintain basic bodily functions. I lost some of my friends and nearly my family and my job because I couldn't think, couldn't get up, and couldn't move.

Help.

I don't know if you still are active on this channel. But I am 20 years old and I have watched my mom struggle for years with Hoshimoto's, Grave's Disease, etc. She is often bed bound and it's been tough. I just got diagnosed with Hoshimotos, they said I just have antibodies and no medicine for now. I know that some lifestyle changes are necessary but I am honestly just frustrated. It's so exhausting to research all of this and have to do things that others don't. Not to mention I am too exhausted to workout and go to work. It just feels helpless and I feel like no one believes me.

So… I just want to say thank you for this video.. I’m finding it in 2022 as a 30 year old woman. Had hashimotos since I was 10 years old. I’ve never felt right. Levels are always fine, so managing my meds has been on autopilot for a very long time… but after watching your last few videos, I now know I’ve been in a constant “flare” for 20 years. It’s gotten worse after kids. No doctor has ever told me about symptoms of flares or that anything was available to help me other than medication. I didn’t know feeling this way was even related to my thyroid. What the heck?!?

thank you so much for this. I was diagnosed with hypothyroid 10 years ago. constantly asked if it was an autoimmune and told no. finally THIS YEAR they found autoimmune markers and their response was "well we assumed" . . . well I DIDN'T. you didn't tell me. I fight SO HARD to get my meds changed/meds added. I really advocate for myself when i'm feeling like crap but my labs are "normal" and all this time it's been an autoimmune disease that no one has helped me fight. I'm educating myself now on how to treat hashimotos and not just hypothyroid and this is all so helpful and so validating. thank you.

Celiac, osteoporosis, autoimmune blood disorder, nodule on adrenal gland causing low cortisol and today diagnosed with Hashimotos. Tough combination, but far better than colon cancer I had 2 years ago. Thanks for your inspiration! Trying AIP .

I literally teared up just now, so happy I found your videos and that you're not bashing medication and just pushing ppl to change nutrition. I am so done with either of these two extremes. I feel misunderstood and like my quality of life is gone and no doctor is listening, I'm just running around trying to figure out what's making me so tired and EVERYONE has a different idea or sometimes even conflicting ones.. But Imma try to implement some of your advice and hope it helps. :)

Your story is a lot like mine, Michele. When I told my doc that I fluctuate from Hypo to Hyper, he looked at me like I was weird. He then told me it wasn’t possible. The very first doctor told me “I can give you a pill that will make you lose weight”. Years later, and I was so overweight.

So helpful thank you! It’s frustrating when doctors think medication is enough to treat this

Love this!! All of my doctors have told me that my levels look normal on my synthroid and liothyronine, but diet helps my symptoms so much. We are not crazy!

Was given a book title from a patient of mine (I'm a PT assistant), which led me to begin cutting out gluten. Am so happy to have found this channel!

Thank you for helping Hashimoto people, it really is a great help to find other people suffering from the same thing and have a solution to feeling better. I have gone gluten free for only two weeks and it has been amazing. It is like I'm going through detox.
